Does play continue if it rains?

Yes. Snipers Den is open rain, hail or shine! Paintball is meant to be played outdoors and a little bit of rain never hurt anyone.

How many paintballs are required to play?

In short – It depends!

A good estimate is roughly 100 paintballs per game but it can vary a lot from group to group and person to person.

At Snipers Den, groups are split into 2 teams and verse each other on our different fields. Over the course of the 2.5 hour session 6-8 different scenarios are played, each with their own unique challenges and objectives.

Most people are going to use 600-800 paintballs depending on how many games you do and how trigger happy you go. That said, you can top up if you need to and refund ammo if you don’t use it so you can always see how you go!

How many people are required to play?

We are happy to tailor to any group size.

The minimum number of people to run a session is 8, however if you have less than this we can try to match you in with another group. Just give us a call to check! If you have 15 or more players you will also get a private session. So round up the mates!

If you want to have a private session, please enquire when booking. This will be dependent upon your group size.

Is paintball legal in Victoria?

Yes. Provided you are not a prohibited person and are over 16 years of age, anyone can play paintball in Victoria. The age limit to play paintball across Victoria lowered from 18 to 16 years of age as of 1st of September 2015.

What is the legal age limit to play paintball in Victoria?

If any field in Victoria allows you to play paintball games and you are under 16 they are breaking the law, and so are you. We require id as you come through so bring your learners, passport or school id.

Does it hurt when hit by a paintball?

At Snipers Den, we use a premier paintball brand which breaks easily upon impact and all games are strictly refereed to stop shooting within 8 metres. This reduces any pain or marks that you may be left with.

Gents: cups are available for purchase, to protect the family jewels!

When are you open?

Anytime! Ensure you contact our booking hotline on 1800 SNIPER to arrange your session date and time.

Do you have EFTPOS facilities?

We’re not in the dark ages! Of course we take EFTPOS!

Mastercard & Visa accepted, but unfortunately Diners & Amex are not yet available. We can also take transfers for deposits for prepayment credit card or PayPal.

What should I bring with me?

A couple of things…

• Valid proof of age card (i.e. driver’s license, Keypass, passport, etc).

• Cash or card (EFTPOS available onsite)

• Comfy shoes that you don’t mind getting a little dirty – don’t worry the paint washes off with water

• Light clothing to wear underneath full length overalls. Don’t rug up too much as you will cook after running around

• Boys wear briefs if you are planning on wearing a cup

Can I bring my own paintballs?

No. All paintballs must be purchased at the venue. This ensures that only the highest quality and freshest paint is used.

How do I book a session?

Easy…

• Firstly confirm your group size

• Then, figure out a date and time that you are after

• Next, arrange for $20 per head which is the booking deposit.

• This deposit covers the group’s full gear hire on the day, so the players will only be paying for their paint purchases when they come through

• Finally give us a call on 1800 SNIPER to lock in your session and confirm with deposits!

Do I need a gun license to play paintball in Victoria?

No. Those wanting to play paintball in Victoria in the past had to have a gun license, but this is no longer restricted. If you want to own a paintball marker in Victoria you do need to have a paintball marker license. Contact us for information on how to go about this.

Is paintball safe?

Yes. Paintball is an incredibly safe sport, especially if run correctly by experienced referees such as those found at Snipers Den Moorabbin.

What about alcohol?

No alcohol before or during the session.

Snipers Den is not a liquor licensed venue and legally all players need to be 0.00 BAC before playing. Anyone suspected of being under the influence of alcohol will not be allowed to play.
